Mirror.cs.vt.edu is a Public mirror archive for many lesser-known linux distributions. This site strives to provide exposure to additional flavors of linux, while not duplicating content on our sister site, http://mirror.cc.vt.edu/, run by the university.

A unified, distributed storage system designed for excellent performance, reliability and scalability.
Sabayon
A beginner-friendly Gentoo-based open-source Linux distribution.
Cygwin
Allows you to run X11 applications on windows, for example via an SSH tunnel. Also an entire Linux environment and API on Windows.
Slackware
The ever-popular slackware - for power users and people who want to learn "how it really works".
EPEL
Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux (or EPEL) is a Fedora Special Interest Group that creates, maintains, and manages a high quality set of additional packages for Enterprise Linux.
