Be aware that this package has some issues: 1) It installs the LVM binaries in /usr/sbin - many people have /usr on an LV, so it makes it difficult to mount the /usr partition 2) No init scripts! - This is bad, since people upgrading with these packages would expect them to be there. 3) LVM 0.9 has issues - vgextend seg-faults, snapshots oops the kernel, and various and sundry other issues. For more info, check out the ML archives. All of the known 0.9 issues have been fixed in 0.9.1_beta3, but to date there are no binary packages. This directory contains the lvm tools rpms and source rpms. To use LVM, you still need an LVM enhanced kernel to use LVM. See the INSTALL and README files in the doc directory for more information on compiling an LVM enhanced kernel.
